Comment by Mark Webber on September 24, 2012 at 11:47am Well I for the last time for 2012 i froze egg plant and green beans..I have lots of green chilies ..what method of preservation would you suggest I do?
Comment by Gerry on August 19, 2012 at 6:01pm To date, I have canned 7 pints Mrs. Wages Salsa, 14 pints of Mrs. Wages Hot Salsa, about 21 quarts of tomatoes, and...believe it or not...84 pints of Mrs. Wages dill pickles. I have frozen about 5 quarts of zucchini and yellow squash, seven quartes of green beans, and two pints of blackberries.
I would like to get a recipe for dill pickles so I don't have to use Mrs. Wages. I grow all the herbs anyway. Unfortunately, I have never found a pickle recipe my family likes nearly as much. Same with the salsa. All my recipes have come out with a strong vinegar taste except for Mrs. Wages.
I am also going to be making horseradish this year, and I've never tried that before. If anyone has any tips, I'd appreciate it.
Comment by Judi Sims on August 19, 2012 at 4:59pm I'm still looking for the Ball tomato juice recipe that uses lemon juice and seasoned salt. Does anyone have it?
